Overview
An Execution Judge is responsible for entering the deductions they took from the routine performed.
The final execution score is the average of all the deductions submitted. If there are more than three judges at your table then the outliers will be removed before taking the average as per FIG rules.
If you've been assigned both the Difficulty role and execution roles, you don't need to change a thing: Judge's Companion will merge your roles and present you with all the different values you need to enter.
We've made an interactive roadmap for visual learners on how execution scores work in Judge's Companion. Check it out!
If you're an Execution Judge you have one responsibility for each routine performed:
Enter the deductions taken during the routine
That's it!
To enter scores an Execution Judge after login in you'll need to select the apparatus you're judging on, the rotation (listed chronologically) you're judging, and the D1 role from the list of roles.
You can filter which scores you see and which you don't. The different options will filter the athletes being displayed. In all cases, athletes are displayed in the order of competition relative to this rotation.
All: see all the athletes regardless of their score status
Not Submitted: see all athletes with un-submitted and non-scratched scores
Submitted: See athletes who've had their final scores submitted
Scratched: See the scratched athletes (defaulted to zero)
Entering the deductions for a routine is easy. Once you've identified the athlete you want to judge tap 'Enter Score'. You'll be prompted to enter the deductions you took.
Make sure to enter the deductions and not 10 - your deductions.
If you've made a mistake you can go back and change your input given the final score has not been submitted.
Press the 'Edit' button in the bottom right of an athlete's tile.
Make any modifications necessary and click Submit
These changes to the score will be published
Submitted scores cannot be edited. The head judge (D1) must first revoke the score
