Video Recording

Learn how to record and upload routine performances using Judge's Companion

Overview

If you've been assigned to record and upload the routine performances of athletes for a Gym Art Meets event, this is the guide for you. To get started you'll need to follow these steps:

  1. Log in using the meet and session password

  2. Select the apparatus you will be recording

  3. Select the rotation (listed chronologically)

  4. Select the Video Recorder role

  5. Record and upload videos for each athlete as they perform

The Video Recording role is only available for users using phones and tablets

Videos are only shown for scores that have been submitted by the head judge so feel free to upload it as soothemas possible!

Logging in as a Video Recorder

To enter scores an Execution Judge after logging in you'll need to select the apparatus you're judging on, the rotation (listed chronologically) you're judging, and the D1 role from the list of roles.

Uploading Videos

To upload a video you can either by:

  1. Recording a new video:

    1. Tap the Record button on the bottom right of an athlete's tile,

    2. Set up the camera, hit record, ..., and stop the video.

    3. Your video will be uploaded automatically

  2. Upload a pre-existing video

    1. Tap the Upload button on the bottom left of the athlete's tile

    2. Choose the video you want to upload

After recording a video it will also be saved to your device

Deleting & downloading a video

If you need to remove a video you can do so by tapping on the three dots in the top right corner of the athlete tile. Tap Delete and the video will be removed.

You can also download any video to your device by tapping Download Video from the same menu

Select which rotation you're going to judge
Select the Video Recorder Role (and any others you will be assuming)
Click on the Remove button of an athlete
